About the course
Tailored to those who are new in an English-dominant country and would like to improve their English for every day use and advance themselves educationally and professionally, this course will give you the tools to better navigate your new environment with increased confidence and ease. You will also learn strategies for independent English language learning and practice to maximize your English studies so that you can communicate more effectively at work and with your children’s teachers, as well as with new friends and neighbors. Cultural instruction will help you better understand your new home and those around you.
What you will learn:
- Cultural studies
- Language skills practice, including grammar, vocabulary, and idioms
- Language practice, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing
- Building autonomy for independent language learning opportunities
Duration
At least two hours per week are recommended.
